Fatfield is a village in the south of Washington (NE38). Fatfield consists of the central council houses surrounded by detached houses situated in quiet cul-de-sacs on the outskirts of Fatfield. Washington Arts Centre is also located in Fatfield which is a popular restraunt and bar as well as well as a playhouse featuring many events. The southern part of Fatfield is known as the Riverside and has three public houses and is very popular for country walks as it is right on the banks of the river. The location of the original Fatfield village is just up the bank from the North Biddick Club. A school was originally constructed where the old village used to bue but this was replaced with a houseing estate several years ago.
